Life Insurance Signitures!

My dh took out a life insurance policy about a year ago, his sister signed to say she'd witnessed his signiture on the documents. However now she is saying she didn't witness his signiture and wants us to somehow get all the documents back so she can resign and watch him sign again. I can't for the life of me remember. But what I'm concerned about is she is saying if my dh should die she'd have to confess to not witnessing the signiture and that I'd lose alot of money. What should I do?

Has she fallen out with her brother for some strange reason?

Talk to the insurers about this. If the document needed an independent witness that normally means that family members are not acceptable.

I don't know what is going on between you but does she really intend to admit to signing a false statement? And is she then intending to say that your husband's signature is a forgery? That, after all, is the purpose of the witness signature - to prove that the signature they have witnessed is genuine.

We haven't fallen out and to be honest are a bit miffed by it. I would like to get someone else to sign it because I feel very uneasy about it. Also because it was quite a time ago I can't understand why she's suddenly questioning it. Also it is making me and dh argue because he thinks she's being ridiculous, but I now out of principle would prefer someone else to sign it.
