hello
my dd who is 12 has decided she no longer wants contact with her biological father.
mmy dd has had contact with her father through out the years which has been supervised by his parents(although not supervised well)at their home where he had been living i have had to go along with this contact as father obtained a contact order when dd was 2.
dd father has mental health problems, convictions for robbery and addiction problems(but has just finished a rehab stint).dd has unfortunatly whitnessed many awful things in the past when with her father such as him being arrested, self harming, she has been left outside pubs until late at night and her father has greatly emotionally abused her telling her things like "when you dont come and see me it makes me much worse"amongst other things.
my dd has had counselling which has greatly helped her and has as i said recently decided that she doesnt want anymore contact with the father or his family, stating"they had given me memories that noone should have to deal with"
my question is should the family take me to court ,which i think is highly likely, will my dds views be taken into account or could a court force her to have contact?
many thanks

nope.....very likely that she can do as she chooses, with nobody forcing her

my dd's were 14 and 12....told cafcass they wanted no contact, judge was fine with that, but wanted telephone contact for the boys, who were 10 and 6
