Hi i have namechanged for this. I would like my dp who is not my childrens' biological dad to have parental responsibility. Their biological dad is named on my first child's birth certificate but not my second child's as he killed himself before she was born. I discovered after his death that he was a sex offender (was jailed for abusing his step daughter in a previous relationship) and the rest of his family haven't had any contact with my children for 5 years. My dp is a father in every way except name and we are thinking of changing the children's names by deed poll but this wont give him parental responsibility. How do we go about him getting parental responsibility?
