DH taking steps towards Bankruptcy but creditor has asked us to make a "holding payment"

What do they mean by that?

I spoke on DH's behalf and said that we are not able to make any payment at all. We have only just gone to the CAB and I have completed the Initial Financial Assessment form. After that we will be granted an interview.

Holding payment??? WTF is that?

They are trying to extract money from you now as they known once BR they wont get any.
