Do I have to tell my mortgage provider I will be on maternity leave? Surely if we keep paying as before they don't need to know?

I certainly didn't tell mine. I didn't even think about it to be honest. Surely they only need to know your circumstances if you are asking to reduce payments or take a payment holiday?
