This is a litle complicated, and I need to be very vague.
The company I work for is working on a project in country A, which is largely being funded by country B. I hadn't realised until very recently the full influence of country B. It looks as if once the project is up and running it will be run under the politics and laws of country B, even though the project is in country A. I strongly disagree with the politics and laws of country B. I'm going to speak to my line manager tomorrow and request (if the above is true, I need to double check that I've understood it correctly) that I be taken off the project. Morally I don't feel I can work on the project. I'm hoping they won't have a big problem with this as there may not be much more for me to do anyway (and I will never have to actually visit the project, thank god). There are other people who could do what I am doing on it. I don't want to be seen as some huge troublemaker, even though I do feel quite strongly about it. But if they do refuse, or are particularly awkward about it, is there anything I can do?
Thanks
