My contract stipulates that my maternity provisions will be in accordance with the

Employment Protection (Consolidated) Act 1978

I have googled this but can only find an index and not the actual text to see what this actually means. Can anyone help?

It means you are getting your statutory rights to maternity leave. Since you get those regardless of what it says in your contract, that is a fairly pointless thing for them to put.

Thank you. Will get on with finding out what statutory involves.
