What car will comfortably fit 3 kids in the back?

Hi
I am currently expecting twins & already have a 3 year old. We will need to get a new car (sob, I love my VW Golf) & am wondering what small 4x4s will comfortably fit 3 car seats in the back? We like the VW Touran, Honda FR-Z & Honda CR-Z - what do you think? Also, any recommendations would be great before I go researching other cars too.
Many thanks

Volvo XC90. Easily fits three and easy to reach the seatbelt buckle for booster type seat with back your 3yo will move to if hasn't done already. Not a small car but nice, you can carry other people too if you bring friends home from school, have Grand Parents in tow and you don't loose the boot completely.

my volvo v70 does

but it isn't a 4x4 sorry

Fiat Multipla works for us!

We love our fiat multipla but have you looked at the multimac car seat for your Golf? I have had a demonstration and it is very very good, happy to answer any questions about it or you could ask them to come to your house to do you a demo.

not a 4x4 but my peugout 307sw does (and has 7 seats - 2 in boot can be taken out, useful for grandparents visits)

not a 4x4 but a citroen picasso does

We got our Touran last week and we love it. We had an Audi A3 which DH was very sad to part with. He would be the 1st to say how much he enjoys driving the Touran and the girls also love it.

Another vote for the Touran, but I would sell my house and and live in the ford galaxy if I had my way...

If you're really keen to keep you smaller car it might be worth considering a multimac.
Very expensive. But perhaps nothing like what you'd spend on buying and running a 4x4.

I looooooved my citreon berlingo, then had twins and had to upgrade to a toyota reguis which is fab too although a little thirsty.

Thanks everyone
Even though we love the Golf it just will not be big enough for when we go visiting relatives & have to cram the boot etc. Plus, will need to fit a double buggy in too.
Thanks for all of the suggestions, will have a look at the cars
Those of you with VW Tourans - is the rear middle seat ample big enough as online it looks a little small?
Cheers

Honda CR-V. I can get three adults in the back comfortably, and two fat adults in the front.
The boot is massive.
Reliable. Just not very cheap to run.

I saw the new renault megan dynamic this week and loved it. 3 isofix points too which I haven't seen before.

Thanks! Will check them out!!

BTW it is the VW Tiguan I meant not the Touran - you can tell I am having twins
