Sheets laundry - do you do it all in one day?

Have spent most of the day at it today

juuule, my DC's are grown up and fled the nest> If you add up the cost of water, heating powder, conditioner and then time to iron it, it isn't expensive. I don't think people calculate the true cost of washing a machine load, you just do it!

I go to work two days a week and when I return home all the ironing is done......thats moms for you!

Ooohhh, I like a bit of luxury! Sheets in tissue paper! I have a wonderful mother's help who has taken charge of the laundry now I'm back at work (although I very much doubt she'd want to be called an oompah-loompah). However we both share frustration, confusion and delay that ALL the beds in this house have different sized sheets (apart from the two cots). WHY do we have a kingsized bed, a queensized sofa-bed, a single, a shortie single and two ikea different sized super-small beds? That is bad planning. I am hoping that finally having one person in charge of all the laundry will mean that the right sheets go back onto the right beds.

I do everyones bedding each sunday night or monday morning, i strip the beds and dp remakes them as i move on to the next. We don't have that many to do really and it is only 2 loads of washing extra. I have a kingsize, 3 singles and a cot.

Alibubbles, that sounds wonderful. I'm now sort of looking forward to the time we've only one set of bed-linen to launder

Thank you so much for posting this It reminded me that all the duvet covers were still hanging on the line and it has just started raining so got them in.
