Did your period come back at the same time for each dc?

Wasn't sure where to post this question, but thought this might be a good place.

I have 2 dc. With ds1, I got my period back when he was 6 months old. I'm co-sleeping and breastfeeding ds2, as I did with ds1, so I'm just wondering whether I can expect my period back at 6 months this time?

It appears to be totally random - with DD I never got my period back and DS just turned up when she was 20 months old. I thought my periods had returned in June with DS but it's been nearly seven weeks and no more, so I reckon I may have dodged the bullet again!

I also know people who are breastfeeding and have got them back at a month And one who went straight from breastfeeding into the menopause .

But from previous mumsnet informal polls - 9 -10 months for breastfeeders seems to be about average IIRC.

mine came back at 9 months for each of my 5 dcs. bf them all exclusively.

hmmmm

dc1 = ff, returned straight away
dc2 = bf until 4 months (returned to work!), returned
dc3 = bf, returned after 6 weeks - was horrified
dc4 = bf, had mirena fitted 3 weeks pp & had break through bleeding daily for 6 months.

It's fab being so fertile

Thanks for the replies - I suppose I will just have to wait and see!
