Hope you don't mind me wading in here!

We are a very patchwork family , my son is 4, and step sons are 11 and 12, our foster children will be any age over 5 years old. My step sons come and stay with us on a weekend, come on hols with us, and come for tea during week sometimes too.

It occurred to me the other day that from thinking of one, sometimes 3 children, I will be thinking of 3, sometimes 5 children!!

Any tips for survival?

I thought foster children were meant to be younger than your own child so that the biological children don't feel displaced ?
