Dh spotted this in 'What Car?' today and I wondered if anyone else had seen it? Its not cheap, but could be a solution? (Have often seen the dilema on here!)

there are lots of cars that you can fit 3 seats across the back - that doesn't look very safe to me!

CandleQueen · 26/01/2009 17:47

£1099 for the 3 seat version? I'd rather just buy a bigger car, but it is a GREAT idea!

notmyfault · 26/01/2009 21:38

I saw these on the net. They don't look safe, they don't look comfy. We've had loads of cars with 3 car seats across the back seat. For that price you can put the money towards a half decent bigger car

dsrplus8 · 26/01/2009 22:42

good idea, crap product. tis fuggly

whitenoise · 27/01/2009 11:07

i have been thinking of this all night (yes i know...saddo...) That would not fit in our car safely. The seats that are already IN our car are not flat they have ridges at the sides - or are you supposed to take the ordinary car seats OUT and replace with that?

notmyfault · 27/01/2009 11:27

You strap it in with your seatbelts don't you? That's a lot of money for a product that might not work.Better off with a bigger car.

whitenoise · 27/01/2009 11:41

on all the pictures, the seats that are already IN the car are flat from side to side

trixymalixy · 27/01/2009 11:49

It is a bit dear, but it is a good idea as fiting in 3 car seats is obviously a problem from the amount of threads on here about it.

There is a car fitting list whitenoise and I'm sure it will have had to pass safety tests if they're allowed to sell it. how can you say it doesn't look safe just from a few pictures?

thank you
I was talking about these to a friend recently after I saw them a while back but I was beginning to think I had imagined them

bronze · 28/01/2009 13:03

Meant to say now Ive found them its too much for us but it was worth looking. Dh has a company car and I dont drive. They wont let him change his car for over a year so for a year we will not be going anywhere as a family.

They look amazing, why don't people think they would work, I thought they were secured to the car like the seat belts are so no less safe than any other car seat that uses a seat belt.
I might drive down to Brum and see one in the flesh.

Joycey29 · 01/03/2009 21:09

Hey sorrento - contact the guy and he offers to come to you....
I am interested and just waiting to have another before I purchase - I think - cheaper han a 7 seater with no boot!

Astarte · 02/03/2009 17:45

I bought a second hand Galaxy for £1250, runs like a dream fits 4 kids in individual seats and a P&T in the boot. What more could you need?
