I will be 43 in April, DS3 is 10 months old and have not given up idea of trying for DC No 4. Do not tell me the risks, am well aware of them.
Tell me feel what I want to hear: happy families with happy older mums! Surely they must exist..

Can't help very much, but would like to join you - am 42 and hoping for a second DC this year.

There's a whole thread of mothers over forty here and also a TTC over forty thread here I'm 43 in a few days, have 5 DCs and wouldn't say no to a sixth. Good luck

cna I just say, without any kind of prejudice, that I am AMAZED at you ladies with more than 4 DC - I am having heebies at the thought of having a second one (only posted on here because of the age thing) and can't IMAGINE how you cope! 4 I can just about see, but beyond that... Well done to you all, you must be superwomen.

PillicockSatOnPillicockHill · 25/02/2009 22:18

wow i love this thread

any new liaghen?

liahgen · 28/02/2009 09:54

hi pillock.

funny you should say that. We have talked and talked and eventually i got really upset and tried to explain to dh just how important another child is to me.

Well last night, he asks me to explain what it would mean to our lives point by point

ie, where would it sleep? How would i cope with anothe tough pg etc etc. Now he's said he'll just have to accept it won't he?

I think we could be almost there.

I know he's been very reluctant, but acceptance will definately turn into embracing once it's here. I know him, and i know he'll be fine now.

Fingers crossed.

Just as an aside We had sex the day after my period finished and i ovulated genuinely unexpectedly 3 days later. .... What are the chances do you think?

Good luck to all thinking and trying, loads of positives to a larger than average family.
