I've been thinking about early I can have the op, but then what if it's the wrong decision?

How long do they advise you to wait?

Shouldwe & Katiedd this is your fault! What if I wanted a fifth eek!

I'm pregnant with fourth and dh was done a couple of weeks ago. I would love 5 or 6 but I think the odds of an 'accident' before winning the lottery were too high.
Would it be easier to ask your partner than get done yourself?

Sorry to say, I asked to be sterilised after my last c/s but my consultant srongly recommended i wasn't as he thought I'd be too emotional after the birth etc, am very glad now as we're ttc#5. Who knows? These decisions are sent to try us, and I don't suppose it's going to get easier! Sorry as usual I am no help!

I'd advise wait 18 months at least, nobody wants another one before the baby can walk do they, once they are up and running around you might have to have one more.
Sorry

Was sterilised at 4th c-section - consultant recommended as my womb was very thin at 3rd c-section and consultant didn't want me to push my luck.

I didn't think too much about it otherwise I would have probably changed my mind.

Bronze, we are both 'getting done' lol.

Thing is Dh was adamant he didn't want a fourth, but knew that I did.
He refused to ttc, but refused to go for the op either. The GP wouldn't refer me for sterilisation (I had given up hope of convincing Dh ino.4 was a super idea) because of the way I felt.

Eventually, he saw how important it was to me to have no.4 and agreed. Here we are 8 weeks away.

It's a no-brainer really because I now I couldn't cope with another pg, my body is falling to bits with this one and I haven't really got the enjoyment of being pg.

Dh says he thinks I get broody around the babies first birthday, so I'll have to be done by then I think.
An accident would not be welcome, kept and cherished certainly, but not necessarily a happy occurence and that wouldn't be fair to the family of the baby.

about 5 mins after c-section....i don't regret it as 8 is enough...but would absolutely love to get pregnant again and it not be my fault .
