Bonfire Night Tips

I'm a father of three and my wife and I are planning on going to a small bonfire with fireworks tonight.

I was wondering if any parents have any tips of their own to keep three children (3 or under) in control for about an hour tonight.

Luckily the youngest will be carried by my wife which leaves two for me to control.

Rather nervous about it actually.

Any tips?

Ear plugs. Gloves. Make it quick, get in just before the fireworks start and get out as soon as they finish.

I remember all 3 of mine hted fireworks, the noise, the cold, the dark.

Many years we just watched from the windows.

Put them in a bedroom give them hot chocolate and tell them too look out of the window ,go downstairs and have a glass of wine .

Sorry mine hate fireworks .

Make sure you all have gloves

Be prepared for them to be absolutley terrified (I am not bitter at all).

If you last more than 5 minutes I would genuinely be surprised.

Stay at home & watch from the window sounds like a good plan. Mine are 6, nearly 5 and 21 months.
We will have fireworks in our garden, but they will watch from the living room, they might be allowed a well-supervised sparkler.

I wouldn't take mine to an organised display, maybe to a nearby hill where you get a good distant view.

The weather's meant to be cruddy too.

We have recruited my sister-in-law her boyfriend and her 8 year old to come along as well. My mum and dad will be there too so it'll be a good family night out. It's only going to last an hour, and there will be food to keep the kids quieter too.

Wish me luck!
