An induction and a Homebirth are worlds apart!!

I always thought that having a bit of a wobble means that labour isn’t that far away anyway. You’re on the home straight OP, it won’t be too much longer xx

OP no woman is pregnant forever! Inductions can last days and often end in cascade of interventions/c-sections.

How far over did you go with your others?

mommyfive · 21/02/2025 00:36

She my 6th baby
My first born was 3 days over
2ed baby was 13 days over due
3erd was 2 days
4th was 6 days over due
5th was born on her due date
This little bug is 3days over and I'm so frustrated x

Can you get some walking in OP? That helped with both of mine.

@mommyfive

baby will be here soon. You don’t want to be induced as that will mean having to be consultant led, hooked up to monitors, more likely to end up with more tearing/instrumental delivery in theatre/c section.

The need week or so you’ll be holding your baby and your labour should be super speedy.

Keep yourself busy and mobile. I remember going into labour after being truly fed up of waiting. Went around a carboot in the morning, crazy golf, walk around the shops and was on the way to dinner when my waters went.

My gran always said scrubbing her floors would make her labour.

How did you go?. When was baby born? How far did you go over? The longest iv ever gone over with any of my kids was 41weeks exactly with baby #7 and she was just off 10lb and just off 60cm and walking by that stage was so difficult and I walked absolutely everywhere. Eventually I started contraction sitting quietly reading a book on the lounge with everyone in bed and it was 9pm.
