Shin lumps

Hi, I recently found 2 little bumps/lumps on my shin bone. They are more visible when I put pressure on my legs but if I look for them I can see them. I honestly do not know how long are they there…I did not hit my leg recently. I will go to my doctor but wondering if these bumps are common? It makes me a bit nervous. Thank you.

I had something similar several years ago which I think I'm remembering correctly was a strep infection under the skin (it was a very long time ago). If it was then I took antibiotics and they cleared up. Sorry I'm not being very clear about it, but it wasn't any to really worry about

OP- Any reason you put this on the 'larger family' thread? Do multiple other family members have these same lumps? Are you wondering if its genetic?
Why do they make your nervous? Are they painful, itchy, hard to the touch?

I've noticed a couple of these in my shins as well. I have no idea what they are

Hi
Sorry for this late comment.
I had this one, im new to running and hit my new goal which is 10km. And when im doing my work, day after that i massaging my shin bone area because of that run. I notice little lump/bump on it. Its exactly in the shin bone but not noticeable like your and dont have any pain just a bump. I dont know how long i had this shit. Do you go to doctor about that, whats the result? Sorry for that question, im just nervous for what the doctor will tell me if i go to check mine next week.

I had one also. It looked like a spot and gradually became a lump, I had it removed surgically - they called it a lipodema I think - was years and years ago.

I’ve been 3 doctors and everyone says different things.

one said varicose vein the other said muscle the third said that I might hit it ina past and that’s why.
