Hi all

Husband and I are first time parents to our sweet baby (9months).

I wanted to ask for advice on how did you still get quality and meaningful communication with your partners when new parents?

We don't have a network to leave baby with or ever used a babysitter. So we are always together and taking it in turns to babysit her to have our own time.

I miss my relationship but also happy with my little family. It's a weird feeling

What worked for you all?

Doesn't she have a bedtime and go to bed?

Our baby is 8 months, we also have a dog so are out walking 3 times a day. We always found even pre-baby that walks are great for chatting and talking, no phones, no TV, no distractions, we walk and put the world to rights. We still do that now, baby will have a nap in the pram or is happy looking around/playing with her pram toys and we can have a proper chat! Also after her bedtime we have some time just us. It’s different to pre-baby of course but I think we have a good balance (or as good as is possible for now at least) and are both really happy
