yes agree with the socks thing- i have lots of boys at the same school, so need black or grey socks in differnt sizes, have to make sure i get some with next written on them so i know who they belong to, black ones with next on, light grey and then dark grey!..nightmare!

the other thing is head lice, when i find one child with them...i start crying!....have to keep on top of it otherwise..... can you imagine!!!!!

All checked here today and ready for school tomorrow!

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 21/04/2008 18:33

Oh yes narky- know thatb one!

Don't do sizes though- just bulk buy cheapest Asda socks in black, then they all go together . Bin as they get holes and it won't matter.
That does ds1 and ds2, ds3 has smaller feet so buy him really bright stripy socks and just mix and match, pretending it's a quirky style thing

Idobelieveinfairies · 21/04/2008 18:38

mine are all finiky about socks-cracks me up, their socks have to be perfect!..so i need to get the right sizes for them all. Wish we had an asda or tesco, our cheapest shop here is next! Haven't got much choice of childrens shops at all.

Mrspanic · 21/04/2008 19:31

My 2 eldest boys are of similar size, so to solve the sock thing i bought (from Easy2Name) some named transfer type things - a bit like the sizes on babygap/gapkids socks. They come in white for dark socks, and some other colours for lighter socks. iron them on in 10 secs. Worth it !

storm35 · 22/04/2008 12:33

I have a huge bag of odd socks, as the last time i kept them for a year and then threw them out, then i found them, so this time i am not letting go lol as half of them are brand new.,

jicky · 22/04/2008 12:58

M&S do their school socks with the size written inside the top band now. Makes pairing much easier.

kittywise · 22/04/2008 16:33

For me the worst thing is not having enough time for myself or anyone else.
But that could probably be rectified by spending less time on here

Zola78 · 22/04/2008 21:02
  1. People assuming that my children don't get enough attention.
  1. Not having enough time to myself
  1. I'm always shattered and my house is a mess

He looked at me, she touched my plate and all the really petty bickering! The ironing pile that just seems to grow and grow and grow and grow.........

Cadmum · 23/04/2008 07:01

The price of flights for everyone and the fact that it is impossible to stay in one hotel room despite the children being too young to stay in their own...

OverMyDeadBody · 23/04/2008 07:32

For me, as a sibling in a big family, the worst thing now is the lack of communication about important matters, everyone assumes someone else will tell the other people and sometimes one person doesn't get the news.

The most frequently uttered phrase here is "nobody tells me anything in this family".

My mum would say all the fighting when we where little was the worst thing.

narkymum · 23/04/2008 16:48

my bedroom IS the ironing pile

At the moment my worst thing is tooth brushes. They keep wandering off with them and I can never find them.

A little thing i know but it's driving me bonkers!

tiredmumov4 · 07/05/2008 15:29

wow that happens here the its pot luck with tooth brushes never know if mine will be stolen when i get to the bathroom!

dreamymum · 07/05/2008 16:02
