On the verge of a breakdown

So I live with my in laws with my husband and two children. My sister is 26 months and my son is 14 months.

My daughter is a daddy’s girl until it’s bedtime when she needs me to sleep and will generally come to me during the day if she needs any sort of stimulation other than that she’s all about dad

My son up until two days ago was an absolute mummy’s boy. He wouldn’t leave me sight. Would follow me around and would refuse to be held by anyone else.

All of a sudden he’s wanting to be held by my mil and FIL. Not for a long just a couple of seconds but generally he would not do that. He would have a breakdown if I left him. If I’m honest I enjoyed the love I got from him because my daughter never gave me anything like that. She was nog phased by my presence one bit. When her dad was working she’d sit with my mil who would just give her the iPad whereas my son likes to run around.

I don’t know what’s changed. Is this normal? Is he no longer a mummy’s boy. Like what is it because i genuinely feel broken by this as he kind of healed the trauma i went through when my daughter was born. I suffered severe pnd.

this is all very developmentally normal. You i am afraid sound like you may be unwell. Should you get in touch with your gp next week?
