Our new home is great Isn't it

Have you found the birth is quicker the more d'cs you have?

Ds 1, was a 17.5 hour labour
Ds 2, 4 hours
Dd 1, 3 hours
ds 3, just over 1 hour
Ds 4, 2 contractions, waters broke had him on the couch at home no time to get to hospital
Dd 2, I had a show, no contractions, the hospital said I should go in because of Ds4! within 5 mins of arriving there she was !!

ds1 - 9lb 5 - forceps - waters broke no contractions for a day, maybe 15 hrs in labour

ds2 - 8lb 12 - induced (took 2 days) - maybe 8-10 hrs - was posterior

ds3 - 9lb 2 - initally very quick, maybe 2-4 hrs then discovered she was a face presentation when fully dilated so took another 4 to deliver very carefully!

ds4 - 10lb 4! - 8 failed inductions over 10 days - eventually had waters broken without being dilated (ouch!!!!!!!!!!) - finally 8 hrs later had 2 hr labour - then he got stuck, failed ventouse then emergency caesarian

And I want no.5...!

dd1, waters broken nothing happening, induced, was very log windeed. from waters breaking to birth was over 36hours.

dd2, woke up in labour, had her within 3hours.

dd3, waters were broken in hospital two weeks early due to gestional diabetes, at about2pm. contractions started just after 4pm, had her at 7.30pm.

i was quite relaxed with dd3 and the time seemed to zip by. i was laughing and joking with dh a lot of the time.

ds1, 9hrs 59 mins from waters breaking
ds2, 2hrs 30mins from waters breaking
ds3, 16mins from water breaking all over dh's front passenger seat
ds4, had contractions off and on for 12hours, and from waters breaking 3 minutes! very scary his cord came before he did, so crash team called and precious bundle was ok. Told after that if midwife had felt the cord would of had an emergency c-section.
Would love another, but scared!!!

DS1 - About 12 hours, ventouse and episiostomy

DD- 45 mins from drinking tea with my friend to being knocked out for an ECS following a haemorrage (Was aware that I had Placenta Previa)

DS2- 4hrs

DS3- 1hr 20 mins.

tulip31- I felt the same as you after DD. It was v.v.scary but subsequent 2 pregnancies have been problem free. Would also love another ....!!
