Cars for large families?

Any car advice would be amazing my current car barely fits in our very large buggy and we’ve just bought a very, very large puppy!

boot space is our biggest concern whilst also having room for DC

We’ll likely have another baby in 2 years but keep DC1 rear facing so will need 2 isofix ideally 3 though as we only have 2 children but will need to be able to have room for a friend for playdates or cousins in the car.

we looks at the ford pick up truck (new one) which is just too expensive and Audi Q7 another way too expensive car we don’t want to spend more than 500 per month on a relatively new car

Ford Galaxy could be worth a look. Or one of those imported Japanese eight-seaters; Toyota Alphard, Honda Stream/Elysion, Nissan Elgrand etc.

Or one of those van-derived MPVs — Citroen Berlingo, VW Caddy or Caddy Max, Ford Tourneo, Fiat Doblo. Not glamorous but they’ll get the job done.

Probably not up your street given what you’ve been looking at, but we love our Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. We’ve had 2 (first one died through no fault of its own). 3 isofix in the back and massive boot, or 2 seats in the boot.

Regardless of the car take wheels off the buggy before packing it. May still have room for fixed in(carabina to a point in the boot and attach harness) ddog along side! Secure buggy with bungee!
