Anyone else rarely go to other people's house?

My mum keeps moaning that we never go there for tea. The problem is, there are 6 of us in total and there really isn't the space for us all.

I've now realised I never take all of us to other people's houses! I think it's because I'm worried about how we'll all fit.

Does anyone else do this?

Yes my mum says this all the time. There's five of us and one of her it's way easier for her to come to us. (I do make the effort to go to hers sometimes though, especially if I've only got one or two of the children). Last time though she served us casserole for lunch which was lovely but she has no highchair so I was eating casserole with my one year old on my lap trying to feed him his casserole.

Honestly I think if you are invited just go. So what if you don't all fit around the table or have to hold a baby on your lap once in a while? Some of my happiest memories were at my dgps houses, I can still smell the scent 30 years later. None of mine ever had a table big enough to seat everyone, it's the being together that counts.
