Today I hosted lunch for 14. This was us (6) plus 2 other families. Pre kids I would have been super stressed about dinner for 14 but given the size of our family this is pretty standard fare now BUT I still find that I have to spend a full evening and morning preparing. And there weren't even any leftovers! Does anyone have any tips for hosting big groups? What kind of food do you do? I make a lemon meringue pie (bake off inspired:) )and there was barely enough for 1 slice each!

I'm more surprised that you DID get 14 slices out of a lemon meringue pie, than that there was "barely enough for 1 slice each" - or am I reading this wrong ?

If I am hosting for larger numbers, I would be inclined to buy in a couple of ready made puddings - maybe an LMP and a cheesecake, and have some nice ice-cream in as an alternative. I wouldn't be making something like that from scratch if mass catering.
