Car for 9 people

I have 6 children and am looking for a minibus/ van to seat us all. We currently drive 2 cars but it would be much easier (and environmentally friendly) to drive one vehicle. There is 8 of us but we need an extra seat for my niece who often stays over. We would need isofix on as many seats as possible - any suggestions?

You would have to get a minibus for 9 people.

The Ford Torneo is good. I have a friend who owns one, and we've rented them ourselves when we've needed a bigger car.

@LindaEllen thank you! Do you know how many isofix points it has, if any?

We have a ford tourneo custom. It’s fantastic for our big family and added waifs and strays! I recommend the long wheel base version as it has the amazing feature of being able to fit a big buggy/pushchair in it without folding!!
Isofix in 4 of the seats. Very easy to drive and comfy for long journeys. We have the version where all the seats can come out individually (useful for transporting furniture etc) and it also means you can change the configuration (all rows facing forward to the back two rows facing each other, which makes long journeys easier as the kids entertain each other!)

Toyota Proace Verso. It's awesome. Comes in 8 or 9 seats (ours is 9, so 2 front passenger seats). The middle and back row all have isofix. It's a van not a minibus, as easy to drive as a car.

@thehomesecretary oh that sounds really good

@LaTomatina I'll have to look into that - haven't heard of that before, it sounds really great

That's a link for the new electric one, ours is older (2017), diesel, but looks the same. One of the brilliant things is there is a sliding back door on both sides for the back, so always safe and convenient for getting the kids in and out.

Why not look at what you are offered hiring a car for nine people? If it's used as a hire car it will be easy to manage and robust.

We love our Mercedes veto.

Ford Transit passenger van🤦🏻 sorry.

We have 5 kids and have the long wheel base Ford Torneo. Absolutely love it for all the reasons stated above. If you've got any questions I'm happy to answer them
