If you had one dc with adhd & possible asc (high functioning)
And another dc who has needed corrective surgery (think the likes of club foot, hip dysplasia)
Would it put you off having more children?
Would it be a silly idea?

Are you meeting the needs of both kids and yourselves and partner and family as a whole? Do you have capacity to care for another without compromising what you do for the others? If so then I don't see any issues with another

Yes they don’t have particular high needs both very able, in mainstream school
Sometimes its stressful with adhd child.
We have the money & space
Im thinking more the likes of any further dc being born with either disability or something else

Partner says we must have bad genes 😏

I was coming to ask if there are any genetic factors, which may give you pause for thought.

My DD has an autism diagnosis, as well as GDD. She has a brother on her dads side who we suspect is on the spectrum, however EXDP won't hear of looking into it any further. EXDP also has a number of more distant relatives with varying developmental issues.

Saying that, it didn't put me off trying for DC3. Sadly that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks, soon followed by the relationship.

If you have the resources, and feel you would be able to support another DC with additional needs if it happened then go for it. Wishing you all the best x
