Recently found out I have conceived whilst on my contraceptive pill I already have 4dc 12,9,3 and 2 in dec I’m really shocked and I feel stuck in making a decision I really didn’t want any more children it’s hard work with the two younger boys being close in age I don’t know if I could manage another baby there was never any plans to have any more so this has really shocked me really stressing as I know I have to make a decision and I really don’t know what to do :(

Make a pro and a con list. Whatever choice you make, you've got this. Thanks

Jowd how are you? I had the same thing recently x

Hiya I’m now nearly 14 weeks pregnant we decided to go ahead it’s really hard when it’s so unexpected take time for your self and think you will know which decision is best for you in the end x

I'm only 7 weeks, was a total accident and came close to going through with bpas but couldn't. My youngest will be 4 by the time he or she arrives. I'm sure we will cope but it will be so hard and I have a bit of worry/guilt that I will have less time to spread around with the other children. Do you mind me asking how people were when you told them? I'm expecting a fair few judgey comments

I was the same I had the appointment booked and couldn’t go through with it I knew I would never forgive my self and it’s going to be a struggle for us also but I have come round to the idea now and are happy excited and so are the children I mean my youngest will only be 2 when I have baby most who we told was happy for us just said you are mad you know the usual but I had the same comments when I had my two youngest close together I just ignore the comments

Hi
I hope you're feeling better about things now?
I went from having 3 to 5 children as the last pregnancy was twins. I was filled with anxiety about it all, but they've just turned 13 now and things are good.
Things always work out in the end x

chickendoodoo · 01/01/2022 19:45

Octopus I had my 12 week scan on Xmas eve. Doing ok but absolutely bloody knackered this time around. Sure the twin pregnancy was more tiring though! My eldest is 13 this year (around my due date) and she's definitely a challenging pre teen but then again her brothers keep me on my toes too Smilethanks for posting btw

Hope OP is doing well too :)

octopuseyes · 01/01/2022 20:48

I'm glad things are ok. Really I am, and I hope the same for OP too xxx

If it's any consolation the twins were the easiest to raise of them all. I think a combination of me being experienced, and just not having time to sweat the small stuff really helped.

Of course I wouldn't change a thing now, but the stress was quite crippling at the time. I think you just find that you find a way, and as I'm sure you've found out they grow so quickly.
Be kind to yourselves. Xx
