Hello. Please excuse if I haven’t done this right but I’m new to mumsnet and still getting used to using the site.
I’m just wondering if I could have some advice.
I’m currently pregnant and already have a daughter. When baby arrives she’ll have just turned two.
I’m looking at getting a bugaboo donkey for the both of them however we live in a flat which is a flight of stairs up. Is this going to be too heavy to carry up with two children? I don’t mind doing two trips if needed.
If this isn’t going to work, has anybody got any suggestions on buggys that could work for us? I ideally want a side by side double.

Thank you so much!

No way can you carry that upstairs with kids in unless you are an Amazon. I have a bugaboo chameleon and struggle to get it upstairs empty! We sometimes stay at a family flat and I leave the pram in the car, is that an option?

I think there is a pushchairs section on Mumsnet, try posting there for more responses.

Definitely get a detachable car seat buggy so that you can carry the baby up in that. Have somewhere safe you can take the toddler upstairs to, then scoot back downstairs for the baby. Our old flat was the same with a flight of stairs straight from the door. Royal pain in the bum so make it as easy for yourself as possible! And something that folds small.

Another thought- baby zen yo-yo do a gadget for linking two singles to make a side by side double. If they can be easily unlinked you could then bring each child up one at a time without taking them out. I haven't tried that link gadget myself though. I do have one baby zen yo-yo and it is very light and could be carried upstairs even with a toddler in.

I live on the second floor and had a donkey. I loved the pram so much it's perfect, but it is really heavy. I felt it was worth the struggle though because once you have it up or down the stairs it really is great.

Mountain buggy nano duo might be worth a look. I'd get a good sling too!
