Car with wide back seat

Can anyone recommend a car with a wide back seat please? I need to fit 3 adults and two children in high back boosters in the car and would prefer to avoid a 7-seater if I can.

We have a Volvo V90 and that would fit a regular sized adult in the middle seat. We also have the in built child seats and they save a fair few inches for the oldest one versus a HBB.

It's a bit of getting used to driving such a huge car but going on holiday was joyful with so much leg room and boot space. My parents have a Q5 and theoretically you can get 3 across the back but we've never managed it with 2 hbb without it being a squash and a squeeze

I have a Citroen c4 Picasso, 5 independent seats. I narrowed it down to that and a Renault scenic.

Why do you not want a 7-seater?
The Ford s max has 7 seats but the 3rd row can be folded away giving you a huge boot space and ample room for 3 carseats in the middle row. It is a very big car but really good if you get the titanium.

I suppose I don’t have a good reason! I’m used to a golf and not a confident driver (definitely not a confident parker!) so I’m a bit scared of managing a big car.
