So we are a family of 5. Children are aged 8, 6, 3 (soon to be 9, 7, 4) We have currently an smax but it's about to give up on us!!
We also like to camp a fair bit.
I really like the xc60 and xc90 but the xc90 is a little out of price range.
Would a xc60 work?

Thanks in advance!

we have same age kids and peugeot 5008

It is so roomy and enormous boot. We have three high back boosters across the back

We’ve got a really old discovery 3 (mine are 9, 6 and 4) which doesn’t seem to break and is huge - it can get all 5 of us and all of our camping stuff in it without the need for a roof box! And that’s the tent, luggage, the lot!

I've got an XC40 and before buying it, we test drove one for 4 days through Volvo. It may be worth seeing if you can do the same with the XC60.
I live our XC40 by the way. So nice to drive.

We were also interested in the Mercedes GLA and Jaguar EPace at the time but Volvo were by far the most proactive out of the three. Very good customer service.

Hi I picked up my Peugeot 5008 today, I have 4 car seats in it and it doesn't feel cramped!! 3 are high backed boosters and we also have a swivel baby seat in the middle. The reason I picked this car is because it had isofix mounts in the middle which means older children can sit in the outside and don't have to climb over each other for the school run x

Funnily enough we have been to look at a Peugeot 5008 today....there isnt many local to others and the one we have seen we love but again is over budget by about 5k.

I have an XC90 and absolutely love it. They’re automatic (mostly) so easy to drive and very roomy with big seats and legroom even in the back row plus lots of helpful tricks (I.e. the middle seat has a built in booster). I’m not sure what your budget is but my XC90 is going on for 20 years old and only cost a few grand. I see loads around of the same age as they’re cars that last. That being said, Peugeot’s are nice cars too and seem to have some good reviews here, I just love Volvos as they’re safe, comfy and remind me of my childhood.

P.s the XC90s have roof rack bars too, which is a great help for family holidays.
