Hi,

Does any of you or your babies, children got a scar from chicken pox?

Did they improved after month/years or stayed the same?

Does it bother you, or your child?

Thank you!

My scar had significant scars, like craters type of scars. They eventually faded away, cant see anything now. I did apply a skin repairing cream twice a day for months on end

I've had one on my chest for 30 years. Never bothered me and it's really not that noticeable now

I have one on my cheek. Ruined my chances as a supermodel, it did.

I have a small dent on my chest that I know is a chickenpox scar from when I was about 6, but I doubt the few people who have been close enough to noticed have really noticed. Certainly no comments. I wouldn't worry about it - they fade over time.

My 7 year old son had chicken pox last year February and the chicken pox was so bad and it had left him with very bad scars and I’m planning to take him to the GP to see what they can do. He has 2 big scars on the chest that are soft and itchy and it looks like it will pop and other scars are fine but it’s been a year and the scars are still not fading especially on his body and yes it does bother me and my son too. My daughter’s had it too but the scars was gone within few months.

I must confess that I find the absence of widespread chicken pox vaccination program in the UK and the idea of "chicken pox parties" to be shocking and barbaric especially given the real risk of serious complications in infants. Chicken pox vaccination is routine in most other 1st world countries.

I've got 2 on my face. 1 about an inch below my hair line, and the other to the right of my right eyebrow.
They haven't faded much at all tbh, and there's nothing I can do about it so I ignore it. But I had chickenpox as an adult, well I was 17, nearly 18. I had it extremely bad, I was literally covered head to toe, I even had them on the top of my head and inside my mouth. It took me an hour and a half to cover myself in calamine lotion it was that bad. I felt so ill for 3 weeks. So I don't know if that would have made a difference to why mine haven't faded.

I have a few on my torso. They've definitely faded over the years (30yo now) but I doubt they'll ever go away. They're just like white marks so they've only ever bothered me in that brief teenage window where I considered wearing a bikini!
