Did you regret having a third?

If you have 3 children, do you wish you'd stopped at 2? If so, why?

Really struggling to decide whether to try for another baby and would appreciate any thoughts on this!

No regrets. Went on to have a 4th and 5th too. 3 is a lovely number though.

Someone will be along to tell you that the world is set up for families of 4 or no one needs to a 3rd child because of climate change etc etc.

Oh god 100% no regrets. She completed us. We were like you though, really unsure, but I fell pregnant by accident that time (we were only using the withdrawal method!) so it took the decision away. We all utterly adore her, her 2 sisters included (she's 7 now) & three just works so well for us.

We'd planned more but stopped at 3 because my SPD got very bad during 3rd pregnancy and I could barely walk.

Other than that, no regrets about 3.

No. He was a surprise - we had talked about maybe having more but had pretty much settled on just having two and then I fell pregnant unexpectedly and it was the best thing for our family. Number three has really rounded our family off he is like the piece that was missing and I love having three.

I don't think I'd regret staying at two but definitely didn't regret having three it's a beautiful jumble of noise and madness and things always happening.

Absolutely not our third baby was an absolute joy so easy as a baby and toddler, she convinced as to go for number 4

My third baby is an absolute joy, he's 6 months now. Really feel like I'm getting the hang of this parenting thing, thinking I'll go for #4!

Couldn't imagine life without my third, she's amazing. So amazing I'm tempted to go for number 4

It’s true that the world is set up for families of four, but you get used to that. You get to know the pubs where they can squeeze five round a table for Sunday lunch, or you learn to book ahead.

Number three completed us. It’s chaos, in the nicest way, when they’re littler. He wasn’t a good sleeper and I was knackered! But they’re teens and preteen now and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

No third is the light of my life and we were both more relaxed third time. Had 3 in 4yrs

No, I love having three.

Not at all in the slightest, in fact we enjoyed our third baby so much that we had baby number 4 six months ago! We love having a big family and have absolutely no regrets.

It’s harder not going to lie, and I’m a single parent. But absolutely not, she’s a dream, they are a little team and it’ll be wonderful for them to have sisters to grow up with and support them when they are older (I am one of four).

So no, zero regrets she’s amazing.

No regrets at all, would keep going if it wasn’t age/money. Go for it !

When I imagined my life I always wanted a girl and then boy and thought I would be completed. But in actuality I didn’t feel complete at all which really shocked me. I yearned for another and once my son was born I just felt like I was done and knew it if that makes sense.

We’ve now decided to have more though, so I’m currently carrying out 5th! Best decision we’ve ever made and definitely no regrets!

Had third last year and she has fitted right in with her brothers. It's all just a joy and I feel so completed with 3. We're done and husband had the snip end of last year.
