If you have had 6+ DC how was your sixth pregnancy / birth / baby compared to the others?

Pregnancy was a lot harder. No time to rest at all, and it took its toll on my body moreso than the others. I bled a lot and needed more scans. The birth was easy, the after pains were horrendous. Baby was an absolute delight.

Ty @DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult, where you consultant led? I remember the after pains from dc5 being bad! Did you go to full term?

I was consultant led due to previous issues anyway. I found I was listened to a lot more by midwives during that pregnancy/labour as well. I went to 35 weeks, the rest of my dc were within 2 weeks of my due date, so it was a bit of a shock, but she was fine and we were out pretty quickly.

Was only making it to 35 weeks at all due to being number 6? Or other reasons?

Sorry for all the questions Blush

I wasn't given a reason, but I suspect it was probably due to all the running about after my other 5, as there was a fair amount of bleeding, which got worse in days where I was busier.

She was still 7lb despite being 5 weeks early.

No worries at all, ask away. I have had 8 babies in total (sadly 2 of my children died) so am pretty experienced with this whole pregnancy thing.

So sorry to hear of your losses Flowers

Was the bleeding throughout the pregnancy?

7lb at 35 weeks is a great size!

Dc 6 pregnancy was fine. Labour was less than 2 hours!!
After pains weren't that bad.
Dc 7 however was a back to back bloody awful labour!!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 20/01/2021 14:10

@Santaiscovidfree how long had your labours with 1-5 been in comparison?

My back to back dc4 was 5 hours start to finish, i expected #5 to fly out. He did not.

The bleeding was pretty much from day one. They said there was no explanation for it, and I was constantly worried, but they kept an eye on me and it all turned out well.

I was very late 30s as well which made an impact on my health I think.

Santaiscovidfree · 20/01/2021 14:29

Dc1 17 hours at 42 weeks
Dc2 less than 3 hours at 40 weeks
Dc 3 and 4 same as Dc2.
Dc5 and 7 back to back about 7 hours each.

Ty both Smile
