4 csections -safe?

Can anyone share their experience of a 4th section? Found out I’m pregnant and I’m very worried - was advised 3 sections was safe upper limit at my last section (10 months ago) and the complications increase with more...she also said my uterus was thin and I had bladder adhesions which caused a couple of issues last time...I don’t know what to do. I’d love another baby but I need to put my current children first, finding it so difficult to decide what to do for the best. Have spoken to a consultant who was reassuring in that I’m fit and healthy but said that she can’t say that I won’t have complications in pregnancy / surgery as they wouldn’t know until they open me up...so it’s weighing up the risks and deciding myself.

P.s I’m a very anxious person so have already assumed worse case scenario

Hi @Mummyto3GBG
I am currently trying for baby number 4.
All my 3 have been c-sections and after my last section the doctor said everything went fine and I was ok to have a 4th.
I know people who have had 4,5 and 6 sections. Personally 4 is my limit so I will be sterilised this time if I am lucky enough to fall pregnant.

Try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy.
I got myself so worked up the night before my 3rd section that my blood pressure went sky high.

Hope all works out for you xx

I hope you fall pregnant soon! Would be nice to have someone in same position as me to talk to. I will definitely be sterilised this time too.

I’m very worried after being recommended not to have anymore last time, I’m a very very anxious person so although I know the risks are low I still can’t help but think I’m going to die. So much so that I’ve considered terminating despite wanting a 4th. I was super anxious throughout all my last csections even though they were all ok in the end and finding it hard to come to terms with this pregnancy and the possibility of going through it all again. I want the baby but the whole pregnancy/ birth is scaring me to death 😖

@Mummyto3GBG

I get very anxious too. The doctors these days are amazing and they will keep you safe.
I have a friend who had 3 girls all sections on her 3rd section she bled out on the table and nearly died she was told to have no more as her life would be in danger. 3 years later she fell pregnant and it was her easiest section she recovered really quick and it all went absolutely fine.

I know it's easy to say try not to worry, but just think about having that baby in your arms.

There is so much that doctors can do these days.

Hopefully I get pregnant soon and we can be pregnant together.
How far along are you? Xx

Yeah it’s reassuring to hear of people who’ve been in similar situations and everything has turned out fine. You’d think they’d get easier with each section but I just get more scared....I’m only like 5/6 weeks x
