Car for family of 6

What car do you all recommend? We have had a scenic (hated it) and since then we've had 3 Ford Galaxys. Now I do like the Galaxy and we never buy brand new, as with four boys, the car is never clean, but we seem to be having nothing but trouble. Just constant repairs on our galaxy.

We have looked at the Audi Q7. But I'm not sure if it's me. Another option is the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer as I know Vauxhall's are usually cheaper for parts. We've looked at the 7 seat Citroen but I think it's a bit small. Also not sure on the Nissan Quashqai. I just want a decent car for a change 😫

Family of six here too and we have a Honda FRV. It's absolutely brilliant. Six seater car that is barely bigger than a normal hatchback. Great to drive, easy to park, loads of boot space etc. Hope that helps!

@natnev thank you. I don't think the older Ds would want to sit at the front with me and DH though Grin

My older two boys are 15 and 14 and very tall. So I should add that leg room is important. Which is why we went with a galaxy as the very back seats are full sized and ds1 can fit his long legs in.

Volkswagen touran?

We are a family of six and current have a Volvo XC90 and an S-Max. Not sure how old your kids are but both fit 3 rear facing across the back and my 5yrold sits in the 3rd row. Before those we had a Mercedes GL (which is massive!) and a VW Touran.

We’ve got a Mercedes Vclass minivan - I think for us personally unless we wanted to compromise on boot space then a van is a better idea, when you have 4 or more. The v class is really lovely and feels luxurious to drive - not van like inside. My husband wanted the xc90 and it seemed to have the largest boot space when the back 2 seats were in use, without going for a people carrier.

Honda Shuttle every time if you can find one

Another vote for the Mercedes Vito. Great van very reliable, loads of leg room, boot space, easy to drive, park

Ford Tourneo. One with 2 seats in the front then 2 rows of 3. Massive boot, loads of leg room.

Hi. Can I ask, how much boot room is there in a VW touran is you just have one of the very back seats up?
Thanks

Renault Trafic cabin crew van. 4 DC have plenty room.
