Varicose veins in pregnancy

Hi,
Any one suffered varicose veins when pregnant? Did it get worse with each pregnancy?
I suffered with vulval varicous veins Blush in both pregnancies. Lucky me! Looked awful but only a bit achy after standing a lot. Back pain and sciatica were the worst thing in second pregnancy. Although mostly gone, and now slightly in my legs, at certain times of the month they still feel achy.
Considering a third and at 39, heard it gets worse each time and don’t want to be left in a state. NHS don’t cover vein treatment and private could cost up to 10k I think!
Anyone else faced this or am I the only unlucky one??

I had horrible vulvar varicose veins extending into my upper thigh. Started in 2nd pregnancy, got worse with each pregnancy (4 in total) but went away after each birth. However, not totally after 4th but enough that they don’t bother me. I’ve accepted that they might get worse as I’m older and it’s the only cosmetic surgery I’d ever get.

I got a pelvic support belt called a V2 online. Wore it every day from about 20weeks pregnant. Really ugly and cost about £50 but worth every penny. Really helped with the heaviness during pregnancy. Also got a selection of maternity support tights and shorts from daylong and pebble websites. I was wrapped up like a Christmas present but it was the only way I could physically function.

Oh and I’m near 40 too!
