Tax credits

I don’t want this to be a benefit bashing thread so if it doesn’t apply to you it’s better not to comment and cause hurt feelings and arguments please.
If you have three or more children and born after the tax credit cut off in 2017, how do you manage? Have you noticed a big difference in outgoings?
I’m asking as I’ve just had my third baby, unfortunately now single which I didn’t anticipate but it’s one of those things. I’m on mat leave but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to return due to childcare costs and the times I work making it difficult to find anyone. I don’t have any family and wouldn’t want to impose on friends. I currently get a small amount of tax credits for my elder 2 and I know I won’t get any extra, but I’m not sure if I’ll financially manage without my work wage. I know lots do and you don’t always have a choice, but I’m looking for real life views that it’s manageable as I’m terrified I’ll end up in debt or struggle to feed and clothe my children. Thank you

I have 3 and actually expecting number 4 I don't get benefits for number 3 only child benefit number 4 wasn't planned failed contrecption but none the less wanted anyway I do have some days when I wish I had stopped at 2 but I do manage financially

This is what I do to keep my budget tight

Mainly pre loved clothes buy out of season so for example it's summer so look on eBay for baby's winter clothes and vice versa

The marketplace is also good for baby children clothes

If I'm buying new I get the cheaper things like next basics leggings for play and multi pack tops

Food shopping is definitely my biggest cost but I have 3 in nappies one is disabled

I buy cheaper brands nappies and wipes which is better

I don't work but that is because of my child having 3 appointments a month due to disabilitys I do sometimes struggle but I do get by on what income I have
