Car for teens and toddler

Hi all

Technically not a large family but you guys are knowledgable. Kids are alomost 13 almost 11 and 1.
I know the three kids in the back topic has been done to death but this is slightly different. One year old will be in a rear facer for a while yet and the other 2 are only getting big all be it they are not big kids. They are squashed in the back of our Kia Sportage. What are the options for something more suitable? Toyed with the Touran but not sure that will give that much more room. The S-Max is so expensive and lots of the other cars just seem huge, Sharon, Galaxy etc. Would we be better to go with the huge options or am I missing another option?

No one have toddlers and teenagers and need a car?

I had one toddler and one teenager and we pootled about in a 20 year old Nissan Micra for a few years. Need must!

Poor teen (and his unfortunate mates) had their knees up to their ears!

I now have a Peugeot estate.

Do you really need a massive car? Can't you just get a regular family saloon?

At least teens are flexible and can bend a bit 🤣

That’s exactly it I’m not inclined to get a huge car, more running costs etc but we have found most typical family cars, Focus etc and like our current car actually have 2 and then a half or three quarter seat in the back rather than a full third seat. The baby is ok as she is in her car seat but the other two are definitely squashed. We really need a car with 5 proper seats and not a 7 seater/huge bus but the options are very limited but was wondering if I had missed a trick.
