5th baby or not

I'm really torn I have 4 beautiful children but I'm finding I'm yearning for another . My partner is happy to have another however he works long hours and I work part time so the bulk of the work/child rearing will fall to me. How do you larger families cope?

I had number 5 when I remarried, gap of 4 years. Worked brilliantly tbh, ds started school when baby was 3 months.
Had several dc after that,life is madness -and friendless, people just can't fathom out why and have got all their dc up a bit while I had last one at 43. Bit lonely but dh is great!!

But worried about what other think as people are already at 4 children. We don't have any family that help us anyway so part of me thinks it won't change much but my youngest now is 4 and will start school next year so don't know if I'm just feeling like it as she's growing up .

I have no family expect my dc and dh.
Nobody's business if they are loved and well cared for.
My dc aren't very materialistic and value their sibling relationships, I know I have raised /raising good additions to our society.
I don't lose sleep over opinions that I have so many.

That's good to know Santa did you find there more risks with the pregnancy's at all? My others were pretty much plain sailing I know not all are the same however .

I wouldn't worry about what other people think. What would your other DCs think? If your DH works long hours, do you have the family or friend support to let them each get some one on one time, or extra focus (or funds) when one of more inevitably goes through a really tough stage, or if one has a talent that requires extra travel or support?

For us, that's why we're (a bit sadly) stopping at 4. I was one of a larger family and there was enough money to go around, but not enough of my parents - especially as we got older.

All went swimmingly until the last one.
Blood clot - bad luck not age related they said - had to have an emcs at 35 weeks.
Was dc number 11 so you have plenty of good luck stil ahead op!

Good question stuck we do have family but they are not the type to help out day to day but in an emergency they would for example when I got admitted to hospital this year. I do have 1 child with a talent that takes us around the country about 5 ish times a year just for the day usually and my others just fit in with that.. they come along to support her and would expect her to do the same for siblings. The 1-1 time could be hard tho I think that's what's making me worry.
