Did you have a lot of guilt going for your 1st child when you had a second? How did you manage this? Smile

I'm not sure what you mean?
Are you worried you aren't spending enough time with them / giving them enough attention ?
How old is dc1 (well, and dc2)?

abbiejasminee · 05/09/2018 07:17

@BackforGood I only have DC1 at the moment but trying for DC2. I'm just feeling guilty for DC1 for when another comes.

But you would be providing them with a companion - for life, not just for now. A playmate as a child. What possible reason would there be to feel guilty ?
What age gap would there be if you conceived soon ?

@BackforGood there'd be about 2 1/2 years! I'm probably overreacting, just seems like a big jump from him to be on his own to have to share us but I guess they all get used to it quickly!

I did, I felt guilty when I was pregnant for maybe not doing enough with DD1 then again when I had DD2 but I must say it was all worth it DD1 is 4 and DD2 is 17 months and they happily play together it's lovely to see. So no more guilt for me. I think it's because I was an only child I didn't know what to expect. Silly I know

@LeeBee11 good point! I'm an only child too, barely even have any cousins. Maybe that's where my worth is coming from!

Abbie7 me either I don't think I was ever lonely tho, a friend would come on hoilday with us so I had somebody to play with but I don't think that's the done thing anymore.
I do worry a little bit about when my parents need care because there's just me at least my girls will have each other I just hope they stay close as they get older.
