Pram advice - double/tandem but must fold small

I have a 1yr old who has only recently taken his first steps and have a second DC due in 2.5mths. I also have a dog.

I'm after a double or tandem which folds small so would only use half the boot space in a Hyundai Tucson (an SUV) so I can fit both DC and the DDog in the car at the same time. I'd prefer one which can also have a maxi cosi cabriofix car seat attached if possible.

I have an Oyster2 at the moment and did consider the OysterMax but found my shin hit the bottom seat when I was walking (so I do worry about this aspect of all tandems).

Does anyone know of anything suitable? I've been to Mothercare (the staff were more interested in chatting to each other than helping me), John Lewis (they wanted to sell me either a mountain buggy which folded down was huge) and an independent pram store (they wanted to sell me the Bugaboo Donkey Duo but it's the price of a small second hand car!) with no success.

Thanks in advance.

Hello. My son was 11months when my daughter was born so we needed a double, we also have 2 dogs! We went for the iCandy Peach which does fold reasonably small, the way we fit everything in the boot is to flip the chassis up and use bungee cords to hold it upright. We bought ours second hand as iCandy are an expensive brand. Hope that helps!

Not sure about how it would fit in your boot but I love my Phil and teds double which I just bought second hand.

I had an iSafe Optimum Twin Stroller, it's an umbrella fold and one of the slimmer widths (47cm)

I had the UppaBaby vista which i got second hand, not sure what it was like for fitting in boot but we have a Qashqai and it fitted in with dog and baby back fine
