Baby number 5?

I have 4 of my own dc, aged 12,11,9 and 7. They have one father, my ex husband. I remarried three years ago and of late, my DH and I have begun discussing having a fifth for me, first for him.

I thought I was finished with babies after my fourth but I understand that even though he loves my four and is great with them, he would still like one of his own.

Situation currently, I work full time as a manager. He works for a catering company as and when required and works around the school hours of my four.

I am slowly coming round to the idea of a fifth, however there is a large age gap between my youngest and a huge one between my oldest.

For those with more than four that planned their fifth, how did you get to the point of deciding to go for it?

When I met dh my youngest was 4. We had ds with a 6 year gap. They are very close and dh is a great step df to the rest of my dc!!

We didn't decide to go for a 5th, but youngest will turn 6 about 3 weeks before she becomes a big sister! We're hoping that baby will cooperate and nap on the school runs! And that youngest will relinquish her 'family baby crown' more gracefully than I am expecting!
Good luck :)
