Cars for three children

Hi I am expecting baby number 3, when our baby is born our other children will be aged 3 and a half and 20 months. I'm not keen to get a 7 seater car because I've read that a lot of them aren't suitable for children's car seats other than in the middle row which wouldn't really give us any more options than we have now. We currently have a Mercedes C200 which my husband would like to keep but just exchange for an estate version so we have a bigger boot. So my questions are if anyone has a the same car as us and three children of similar ages which car seats do you use? Or what cars do other people with three children of similar ages have that fits them all comfortably plus two adult passengers? TIA

Citroen C4 Picasso has 3middle flexible seats that fits 3 child seats and all the 3 seats have Isofix. This model has 5 seats and the C4 grand Picasso is the model with 7 seats.

Also try Toyota verso it's a 7 seater but it's rather small and looks nicer compared to other family cars. It's almost same size as the 5 seater c4 Picasso and again all 3 middle seats have Isofix as well in the Toyota verso.

Also look at the multimac website they sell 3 child seats that can be fitted in any car but costs around £1.5k to buy and get it fitted.

We have a c4 Citroen grand picasso and a discovery. Both fit our 3 (6, 3 and 1) and us with plenty of room to spare.

Range Rover Discovery. Any decent 4x4 will have room or a large estate car. A Volvo, BMW, VW, Audi, any large estate really is what most families have if you want a boot as well as seats.

We have a Zafira which is nice.

Ford galaxy or s max.
Google what cars have 3 full size seats in the back. Surprisingly most “larger” cars don’t have 3 full size seats which will accommodate 3 car seats.

Citroen Picasso has three full-sized back seats.

Than for your replies, I'll look into them. @Shen I had looked at the Multimac website, has anyone used their car seat? Do you change the seat attachments as the children grow?

We had a Citroen picasso when we had 3 children in car seats. It has 3 full size seats.
However, the most family friendly car we've had is the vw touran. It's a 7 seater but the back seats fold completely flat into the boot.
Passenger seat airbag turns off with turn of the key. And 3 full size back seats all of which are fully removable/flip down to use as tables. They also slide to adjust leg room/ get into boot.
We now have 5 children in car seats and have realised the touran is not really large enough for 7 people!! Time for a van!

Hi also following with interest. I will have a 4 1/2 year old, 19 month and a newborn so need a car with 3 individual seats in the back BUT I am not great with spacial awareness/ parking/ confident in MASSIVE cars - anyone know of something with big enough back but is quite easy to drive??

Also expecting number 3, and when she arrives, my others will be 3.5 and 23 months! Went top test drive a C4 Grand Picasso yesterday which was lovely. 3 isofix points in the back, 2 fold up seat in the boot (which could be folded independently), and when these were folded down the boot space was really bit, I tested butting my double buggy and single buggy in , and there was still room to add in some shopping! The rear was very roomy which would make it very easy to get the kids belted in, especially for the child in the middle seat. Also looked at a Zafira, but this didn't have the third isofix point and was not roomy at all in the back. Our child-minder has a SEAT Alhambra, which is a lovely roomy car, but sadly out of our price range.

We originally wanted the smax but it was out of our budget range so we went with a CMAX, we have two DC in britax two way elite FF and use a bubble bum for our eldest in the middle. Normally shes in a HBB. However we were told since she's in the middle she is quite well protected from side impacts.

It has a good size boot and feels nice to drive.

Still would love the SMAX though!

I drive renault scenic II (2006), there is enough space at the back to put 3 children seats. But in boot there is space just for the pram, so it's not enough to go on holidays.
Husband get from work seat alhambra. He only resigned from 2 extra seats in favour of bigger boot. So it's just 5 seats now but huge space for suitcases, pram and kids stuff.
We've also checked renault espace. Seats fit there as well (new version, I don't know about old ones).
But to ford s-max and galaxy we did not manage to put 3 seats at the back.
Best is to measure biggest seat separately and multiply that 3 times, in case in the future you will have 3 same size seats and check if there will be enough space.
My kids are 4y, 2.5y, 6mths. So in the future all of them are going to use biggest seat at the same time. That's why we choose just those 3 cars.

We have a Mercedes C250 and a Multimac Superclub. Works great for us and kids are aged 7, 5 and 4.

We have changed headrests as they've got older. The seats say they're suitable up to age 12. We will probably get rid before then as it would be too cramped, but I can see it being fine for another few years.

Hi there!I'm considering buying One superclub. I've One C classe (tmodel). Could you please send me more photos about the fitment of the seats? How does it goes on the back of the seat?did you installed some spacer?
And the material?is faux leather?is it good?

I've a merc b class fits three in the back they were 4, 2 and newborn at one stage I had to buy all new car seats but John Lewis were helpful and we spent ages finding the right combination of seats.
