Pregnant with number 3...

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. We’ve already got a 2 year old and an 11 month old, both of which were planned, this wasn’t! We’ll have a 2 year 9 month old and a 19 month old when it arrives.

I’m so terrified about how I’m going to manage. I love the two I’ve got so much and feel like they are going to suffer.

How on earth would I manage a trip to the park with two toddlers and a newborn?

Does anyone have any happy stories they can share to help me feel a bit less terrified?

My husband is really kind and supportive but also in shock and I think he’s worried about how we will cope too.

I guess I’m looking for happy stories from people who have had three children in such a small time frame and survived.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dd2 arrived 2 years ago when dd1 was 3 years 3 months and Ds was 16 months, it was hard work but wonderful. Things are much easier now and the three are such a little gang.

I managed fine with no family help and DH does long hours. I would now love a fourth!

Congratulations! x

I had a 3 year old & a 2 year old when no. 3 arrived. I think going from 1 to 2 was actually a bigger shock as by the time little no. 3 arrived, 1 & 2 could play & keep each other busy (get up to all sorts of mischief together!) when I was feeding the baby. You'll be fine. I went on to have another 3, so it can't have put me off too much (and all 6 were planned!!) Don't stress - they'll have their moments when they drive you nuts but you - and they - will love it. And it really does get easier. 💜
