DC1 24hrs at 40+14
DC2 12hrs at 40 + 10
DC3 planned c-section at 38weeks
DC4 36 hours at 40+8

Times are from first contractions. DC4 was a ridiculously long and uncomfortable first stage but then had a sprint finish at the end, went from 2cms to arrival within an hour.

Hawkmoth · 28/05/2016 18:36

Fourth was an hour and thirteen minutes from first twinge to delivery. I say twinge, it didn't really even hurt, was like pulling. So that would explain why DH ended up delivering him!

Afreshstartplease · 28/05/2016 18:37

My times were all from established labour except DC 3, that was from first pain, I arrived at hospital 7cm and she was born two hours later
First two I had slow labour for days

(from waters breaking or when I went into hospital)

DD1 - 14hrs SORM
DS1 - 19hrs - induction
DS2 - 6hrs - SORM
DD2 - 14hrs - Broke Waters
DS3 - 35 minutes...... waters never broke and he was born in his sack. Contractions started at 1.30am, he was born at 3am. Shock

pigsinmud · 09/06/2016 10:15

Ds1 - 12 hours, but they broke waters and sped up labour
Ds2 - 8 hours
Dd1 - Twinges all day. Midwife arrived at home at 6:30pm. Born at 9:30pm.
Dd2 - Had sweep and accidentally broke waters at 2:30pm. Mild contractions started straight away. Midwife arrived at 6pm. Hanging on for second midwife (by God that hanging on was awful)....dd2 born at home at 7:30pm.

It's difficult to give exact times as I'm a slow burner! I know the day before as I start to go to the loo a lot and have mild twinges.

BigginsforPope · 09/06/2016 10:16

DD1 - 22 hours
DD2 - 1 hour 45 minutes
Ds1 - four hours
DD3 - about 1 hour 15 minutes.
