Age Gaps

No advice needed just interested in what age gaps we all have between our children...

I have DS1 who is 16, DDs are 11 and my youngest DS is 3, DC5 on the way!! Always been told these are large gaps so I am curious to see how others have structured their families. Smile

I have a 23 year age gap between my dds Grin.

Had Dd1 at 15 never wanted anymore DCs.

Dd2 was a surprise at 38.

8 kids spaced 21 months to 2 years apart (includes one set of twins). Always joked we should have had the older kids soon as they are such a help!

There's 3y2m between dds 1&2. We didn't plan it that way; I was incredibly broody for another baby when dd1 was 6mo so we started ttc again then. However, unexplained secondary infertility meant she took longer to show her little face, but thankfully she eventually came along.

I'm now pg with dc3 (who only took 3m to conceive!!!) There will be a 7y7m and 4y5m gap. Completely deliberate this time. In hindsight, I wouldn't have managed well with smaller gaps and I like the age range.

We have 17 months between ds1 and ds2 (both from a previous relationship but call DH dad and have nothing to do with ex), then 7 years between ds2 and ds3. Currently pregnant with ds4 and there will be a 3 year age gap. It would have been closer but ds4 took over a year to conceive.

17 months between ds1 and ds2 and 15 months between ds2 and dd - 32 months start to finish 😀

11 1/2 months dc1-dc2
12 months dc2-dc3
23 months dc3-dc4
18 months dc4-dc5
17 months dc5-dc6

Almost 7 years between dc1-dc6

Ds is 14
Dd1 is 11
Dd2 is 8
Dd3 is 22 months

They all have their birthdays in July/August so they'll be 15, 12, 9 and 2 by the end of the summer.

Kim82 · 19/05/2016 14:40

There is 5 days under 13 years between eldest and youngest. Her birthday is 20th July and his is 25th July. Summer is birthday season in our house! Grin

I'm 18 years older than my youngest sibling. And I hate it because that sibling behaves horribly and is utterly repulsive towards my children - definitely not what I would have chosen because I'm not seen as an adult when trying to discipline for upsetting my kids AngrySad
