Pregnant with #4. Age gaps

Hi I'm pregnant with baby #4 only very early days. I just wondered if anyone has similar age gaps to me and how it works.

I have 3 Ds already. Ds1 10, Ds2 9 and Ds3 2. They will be 11,10 & 3 when the baby is born. I'm most interested in the 3 year age gap. Will I need a double pushchair, how can I ease any jealousy and basically tips to make it work. I will have 4 of them over the summer holidays next year. Smile

My first two have an 18 month age gap and we had the citi select so got the second chair. It's helpful on long trips but for around town we take the umbrella stroller and I make dd walk.

I'm now pregnant with #3. I would like DH to pick up a 2nd hand Danish pram when he is in Denmark because my first two will be doing activities and my 3rd will be napping. I want them to nap lying down rather than in their car seat. I have big babies so they are out of the bassinet on my stroller very quickly. DS was 10lb6oz and was out by 6 weeks.

Just saw this in active convos and wanted to say congratulations beautician !!

I had just over 3 year gap between ds1&2. I wasn't using a pushchair for ds1 at that point so got a new pram for baby. There was no jealousy at all. I think it helped that ds1 was already used to sharing my attention so didn't feel he was being pushed out. And ds2 just slotted right in Smile

Hopefully be joining you with baby number 4 soon!!Smile

Weechops thank you. I can't believe it finally happened. Good luck to you. Let me know when you get your BFP.

So hopefully I won't need a double pushchair. I was thinking of one of those buggy board things as the 3 year old will still get tired legs. We do a fair bit of walking.

Oh and both of my elder two walk on shorter trips. I have the stroller and put the diaper bag in the seat.

The added bonus of making them walk is that they do get more tired and are likely to nap. They go on a 30min walk before bedtime starts. It really helps them with falling fast asleep after a warm bath and story.

Thank you everyone. I think I'll probably buy a new pushchair and a sling as well as buggy board so I've got everything covered.

I'm hoping ds3 will be ready to potty train soon. I like to follow their lead and he isn't showing any signs yet.
