We are Ttc number 6 and I am having fun thinking about the what ifs!

I was wondering if twins are more common the more you have and if I could do a little twins poll! Grin

Do you have twins or all singletons ? What number pregnancy were they? And how old were you when you had them?

I have no twins 5 singletons.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have 7, soon to be 8 and they are all singletons. I had my first when I was 19, and I am now 38.

OhBuggeringBollocks · 12/11/2014 13:14

Not me personally, just the 3 singletons, but I know 3 singletons then twins, and a family that is b/g twins, boy, b/g twins.

Oh and I very brave lady with twins and accidental triplets 18 months later Shock

7to25 · 12/11/2014 13:15

The incidence of twins increases with age and parity......so yes, you are more likely.
I have had six and no twins.

SilasGreenback · 12/11/2014 13:53

I know someone who number 6 was twins! Maternal age does increase the chances of twins.

LongStory · 19/11/2014 22:39

My no 4 surprise was twins. Took us right into the supersized families. Just about recovering, six years later....

harrygracejessica · 22/11/2014 20:38

I had one when I was 26, then twin girls when I was 28 then twin boys when I was 30.

So 5 kids but only 1 singleton and no twins in the family.

Arlagirl · 22/11/2014 20:39

MIL had 9 children..3 sets of twins. At one stage 6 children under 5

neversleepagain · 24/11/2014 00:06

My first (and only) pregnancy was fraternal (hereditary) twins age 32

SoonToBeSix · 24/11/2014 00:14

I have six am pregnant with my 7th , babies five and six were identical twins.

SoonToBeSix · 24/11/2014 00:16

Btw chances of identical twins do not increase with age run in families etc they are a pure fluke unlike fraternal twins.

IAmNotAPrincessIAmAKahleesi · 24/11/2014 00:23

I have six singletons

DH would like to try for no.7 but I'm convinced we'd end up with at least twins if not more Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/11/2014 11:29

I wondered the same thing as yours I got my BFP this time. I have 5 singletons. But 6 is a singleton too confirmed.

MultipleMama · 08/12/2014 01:20

I have 7. 2 sets of twins (ID boys and fraternal B/G).

Boys were PG #3 and I was 22.
B/G were PG #4 and I was 23.

I was 18 when I had my first and recently (October) had my last at 24.

Twins do run in my family but seeing as one set were Identical, I have no idea if I'd have more twins. Maybe if I continued to have babies! Grin

flippyflapper · 11/01/2015 15:21

My twins are 4+5 they are identical and I have identical twins run in our family.

I was 28 at the time.

We have 5 children l. I see some have 6 or 7 I would love just 1 more so much so it brings me to tears. Lucky ladies enjoy

QueenofKelsingra · 11/01/2015 22:13

I had a singleton at 25 and fraternal twins (no family history or fertility treatments) at 27. I was heavier when I conceived the twins which is supposed to increase the risk.

slightlyinsane · 31/01/2015 11:18

4&5 were id twins at 34. As soontobesix said id twins are by complete chance, the research and figures show it's completely random for everyone

bunnyhop101 · 22/03/2015 08:28

Due with 4&5 this year, no twins in family and non identical

ScorpioMermaid · 27/03/2015 00:31

I'm expecting our 9th. All singletons!
