Expecting baby number 7!!!!!! Anyone else have 7 or more children??

Just found out we are having number 7 bit worried as when i was having baby number 6 the medical professionals made me panic all pregnancy, telling me how dangerous it was as i had 5 already..
I had a great pregnancy, (apart from pelvis pain) Which only affected me,not baby..
I went a week over, and had a wonderful nearly pain free, quick easy labour..
Has anyone got good pregnancy stories from 7th plus pregnancies, to put my mind at ease before i book in to see my midwife.

Nope sorry, I have 6Dc, not planning on number 7 as find 6 hard work so admire you for going through labour again. I remember when I was pregnant with dc6 my midwife told me my uterus would be wearing out and there would be high risk of complications, really worried me but labour only took 3 hours and went absolutely fine.

Bit of an off track q but the more you have are they more likely to come early. Just wondering as Im currently pregnant

All 6 of mine were late. Dc6 was the latest at 14 days, dc3 was 12 days, dc5 was 8 days late, dc2 was 5 day, dc4 was 3 days and dc1 was 2 days late.

My other children are 20, twins age 13, 10, 8 and 2..
I keep panicking, then think some women have much more and they're fine..
Then some women have only 1 and loads of complications..

Melissa83, my 5th child was my longest labour, 9 hours..
My 4th was my quickest 15 minutes, and was born on the livingroom floor.. lol

I have five, they said five or more makes you higher risk 're post partum haemorrhage but there is new evidence to show this is not the case for an otherwise healthy woman in the west, it us higher risk in less developed nations for a variety of reasons.

Anyway I was fine and they didn't seem to think any more would be a problem though we are prob sticking at five.

Hi I have 7 and am 20weeks with no.8 due in Jan, I am 38.

The only concern that has ever been mentioned to me is the higher risk of pp haemorrage, my age is not a concern. For me personally this has not been a problem as yet! They did put me under consultant care as well as midwife last time, but frankly he did nothing or said nothing that my midwife hadn't already explained, and I found it a waste of his time and mine. So I will not be seeing him this time, unless needed.

I always need iron, but once on the tablets everything is fine. I have found morning sickness has got worse - but I'm not sure if thats age of number of children! I'm always go about 8 days over, have weighty babies, and have never had a problem giving birth.

I have 8 children but only 7 pregnancies (1 set of twins) aged 6 mths to 12 years.

All very straight forward pregnancies & births. Twins (no. 2 & 3) were c-section due to breach. All others vaginal delivery.

Spontaneous labour with no.1 & no.5 about 7 days early. Planned inductions 1 week early with no. 6,7 & 8. Al births approx 3-5 hours after first really established contractions. Never any concerns about being a Grand Multip (ie "many births") more concerned with me being over 40 (42) with my last birth, only really needed extra chats with dr. and scan at 32 weeks, otherwise care the same.

Congrats, Niece, how exciting for you and your family. Wishing you an uneventful 9 months ahead please be assured that it doesn't have to be high risk or difficult just because it's no.7.

whoops, missed no.4 (typical middle child syndrome) she was induced week early too, no dramas.

I have 5 and was told about the added risk of pph and they seemed to think that due to the number of births dc3 and dc4 would just fall out as I approached my due date (unfortunately not).

My nan had 13 with no problems. They didn't seem to worry back then, when it wasn't unusual for working class families to have lots of children.

Hi i'm only on no 5. but my sister is expecting her 10th (eldest is 12, no multiples... she's busy!)
After 4 they put you as high risk of pph but I think thats just protocol tbh. She's been given the whole age & downs syndrome risk thing, but thats what they have to say I take it. She's early 40s.

incidentally, for a pp who asked... my sister still goes to term each time, never more than a day or two early, despite that many pregnancies and one late miscarriage. So think its an individual thing...

Am expeting baby number 7 in September ages 15/14/10/9/3/15m still breastfeeding youngest feel so exhausted all births have been fine no compilations all good wieghts

I am currently pregnant with baby # 7. Just found out last night. I am excited, nervous, anxious, and scared. Although I really don't have any reason to be scared. I have had 6 amazing pregnancies and deliveries. No complications during pregnancy or delivery. All healthy babies as well. I am just absolutely trrified at the thought of ppt. Never had it but I guess it's always a possibility. My husband says I worry unrealistically. I just can't help it. I am so scared. I just hope this one is the same as my others. With my last pregnancy I was not classified as high risk and no special treatment was administered. It was a normal pregnancy and delivery. Anyone have birthing experiences to share on 77th or more deliveries?

I did it, it was hard but so worth it. DS7 has just started school and is now going through something of a challenging phase, but life seems to have returned to something approaching normal. My biggest challenge was DD2 going way off the rails, but it's all worked out fine. I was too exhausted for any postnatal euphoria but 4 years later I have a wonderful, mostly happy brood and a good solid marriage. These things can work out well, it just takes patience and time. My eldest is 12 and my youngest is 6 months. Pregnancy was fine, birth would have been fine if they had actually listened to me and I didn't have a friend catch the baby because the midwife left the room but nothing bad health wise :)

Mommiemommymom how to you mama he with 7? I am pregnant with number 7 but have far smaller gaps than you. People think I'm crazy but we manage just fine, yes it's hard but some people find 1/2 hard too lol.

I have 11. And just realised I have had a baby in 4 different decades!! Wondering if thats a record??
First dd in the 80's.
3 x ds in the 90's.
4 x ds and 2 x dd in the 00's
And a ds in 2014!!

About thirty weeks with baby 8-
10th pregnancy for me. Definitely the last, getting my tubes done!
