4 easier than 3?

Just curious really not decided if we def want another in the future or not but keep being told 4 is easier and also birth etc likely to b easier than number 3. Not feeling confident enough to test the theory yet so wondered what other ppls experience was? :)

Thats an ineresting one i have never heard that although someone said 3 is not a big jump after 2 and ds3 is 10 wks old and it feels huge having 3. We are outnumbered. Sitting on the sofa after the weekend completely exhausted and worn out!( and thats with nana being here to help out)

Yes. But obviously more expensive. But in my case I ended up with 2 of each which was handy. If I had 3 of 1 and 1 of another?hmm. Probably? Dont know for sure. Maybe not.
I wouldnt consider it though unless you have plenty of support. fwiw, yes birth no 4 quite quick, but you do then have another 18 years to go!

I have 4 and tbh don't think it is much harder than 3. I have 2 sets of 2, 9 years between 2 and 3 so when no 3 was born it was like starting again so that was quite hard. No 4 was a prem baby so the birth wasn't any better. Now she is older 4 is just as easy as 3 was

Great article riojahaze although not sure if that would really be the case. Completely agree tho i have have 2 HANDS!!! I said to my dp we are going to look at least 10 yrs older after the 1 st year!

I found adjusting from having no dc to 1 the hardest dc2 was a doddle dc3 pg and birth was a bit harder (tho all labours been v quick) and was a touch early (before 37wks) hence not sure if a good idea. I find 3 fine and I don't have any support also small age gaps (took ages to get dc1 so we went with strike while the iron is hot) I was just curious as lots of ppl with 4 have said pg & birth was easier and u r so used to being out numbered that u don't notice it when dc4 comes along.

Also I have 2 boys and a girl so hand me downs wouldn't b an issue :)

I found going from 1-2 hideous because of a narrow age gap. 2-3 was easy and 3-4 very easy.
No real difference as I know how to handle the chaos.
Yes birth 3 and 4 were very easy compared to 1 and also to 2.

I'm curious about 4 but I'm shattered and we would financially stretch ourselves so it probably won't happen.

I found the jump from 2 to 3dc the hardest. After that it didn't make much difference other than cost, washing and more night feeds. (She says rocking gently in her padded cell).

Birth didn't get any easier. In fact dc4 and dc5 were my longest labours and I tore badly with them both.

Probably depends on the parent and the baby/other children.
I found having no.4 not much different to having 3. But I found going from 2-3 more difficult and there are other people that don't.

I did find the births after no.3 were easier (note: easier not easy).

I had biter 4 when biters 2 and 3 were 3 & 4. Biter 1 was 9.

No issues other than I did find that I needed extra hands and the stretching abilities of Mrs Incredible when out with the pushchair.

Surely relaxed parents are more likely to go for 4?
